Editorial Review: Product Description: #1 New York Times bestselling author and renowned radio and television host Glenn Beck delivers an instant holiday classic IF YOU COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE BY REVERSING YOUR BIGGEST REGRETS, SORROWS, AND MISTAKES...WOULD YOU? When Eddie was twelve years old, all he wanted for Christmas was a bike. Although his life had gotten harder -- and money tighter -- since his father died - Eddie dreamed that somehow his mother would find a way to have his dream bike gleaming beside their modest Christmas tree that magical morning. What he got from her instead was a sweater. "A stupid, handmade, ugly sweater" that young Eddie left in a crumpled ball in the corner of his room. Scarred deeply by the realization that kids don't always get what they want, and too young to understand that he already owned life's most valuable treasures, that Christmas morning was the beginning of Eddie's dark and painful journey on the road to manhood. It will take wrestling with himself, his faith, and his family -- and the guidance of a mysterious neighbor named Russell -- to help Eddie find his path through the storm clouds of life and finally see the real significance of that simple gift his mother had crafted by hand with love in her heart. Based on a deeply personal true story, The Christmas Sweater is a warm and poignant tale of family, faith, and forgiveness that makes us question whether we really know what's most important in our own lives. ![]() Rating: - The Christmas SweaterI was very moved when I read The Christmas Sweater. I listen to Glenn Beck on the radio,on my way to the YMCA on most week days. That is when I heard of the book that he had written. I don't really know if the book is about him, I do suspect that it is though. It was the perfect read for the holidays,as it really brings you to the bare basic meaning of the holiday. Rating: - "You won't be disappointed"As a big fan of Glenn, I might be a little biased. I wasn't sure with this book, what to expect.[I'm used to his comedy] This book, however, hit me in a different way. First book I ever read cover to cover in one sitting. Great story line, and a very smooth and fast read. Well worth the price. Insider Joe Rating: - It wasn't awful, but it wasn't what I hoped it would beI really enjoy Glenn Beck when it comes to political issues, but this book wasn't at all what I thought it would be. It was too mystical for me, and the writing didn't bring any life to the story. I think there is still a good message in the book, and there were parts that I enjoyed, but overall it wasn't for me. Rating: - Life Changing! This is the best book I have read in years...it pulls at your heart strings and teaches you so many of life lessons we have let slide. I have sugested it to many poeple and give it as gifts....everyone who has read it has said the same thing. A must read! Rating: - Now my favorite Christmas Story! This book will go do as an all time favorite Christmas story and is a must read! Browse for similar items by category:
