Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - The bonus tracks are the best thing
This album was originally released as an LP in 1975. It had 6 tracks and was 36 minutes long. The CD release has two bonus tracks and the total time is now 50 minutes. The sound quality is very good. The US edition is out of print, but you can find an import version, that is more expensive.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Sanbord CD
This is a re-hash and re-packaging of the 1970's vinyl album "Beck" which is still availabe in the form of a Japanese import on Amazone, albeit for a hefty price. This is fine album and a great example of jazz session artist David Sanborn before he had his own career.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Beck & Sanborn
Cactus, one of the finest and amazing tunes from Joe Beck, excellent perfomance of David Sanborn with that "dirty" sound of sax, great!!. I'd really like to have the entire CD or album.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Tasty, Soulful and Rare Fusion....
Produced by Creed Taylor, recorded by Rudy Van Gelder at Van Gelder Studios in March and June 1975 with the personnel mentioned above, this has primetime Joe Beck and David Sanborn in great form. Beck's "Red Eye" may have been inspired by a flight to finish the album--perhaps on that last date in June. "Star Fire" begins so mid-tempo mellow, it should be retitled "Star(t a Slow)Fire", but then the Sanborn altos kick in and it gets seriously caliente, and then Beck decides for a lil picante in his plate ...
