I use it primarily for photo printing. I've tried many "compatable" inks and have not been satisfied.. The ones I've tried had good color, but faded over time. They have also clogged my printer with regularity. In my estimation, it's the old "you get what you pay for..." Not that any ink is cheap. I've done my homework and this Canon Multi-Pack thru Amazon is the best deal I could find...
