Editorial Review:

Product Description:
This Standard Bark Control Collar is the simplest and one of the smallest bark control collars available! When your dog barks, this anti bark collar gives a warning beep and mild correction. Then if he continues to bark, he will receive the warning tone with a slightly stronger correction. This process will continue up through six levels of correction. The collar senses the vibrations in your dog's throat that happen only during barking. While not at all harmful, the Bark Control Collar is an effective deterrent to excessive barking.

Features:
   * Lifetime Warranty
   * One of the smallest receivers available at only 2.3 ounces
   * Sophisticated microprocessor technology provides a
warning beep with the first bark
   * Six levels of progressive correction for stubborn dogs -
Not too strong for small or timid dogs...yet
strong enough for large or stubborn dogs
   * Automatic shut-off if your dog continues to bark more
than 15 times in a 50 second period.
This Bark Collar will then reset after 3 minutes

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - bark collar
it works well on one of my dogs but doesn't seem to work so well on the other. we only had to use it a few times before they understood to stop barking. i am glad we bought them.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - BURNED MY DOGS NECK!
After reading a lot of positive reviews, I went with this BC-102 collar. I found one other review that said that their dogs neck was burned, but figured it must have been a fluke or an over exaggeration. We tried it on my Lab/Border collie mix (55 lbs), because when we are driving to the park she barks like crazy and drives us nuts. The first time we tried it, she barked about 3 times before she started crying. My wife looked at her neck and found a Quarter sized burn on her neck. All the hair ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Shocking Pet Collar
This is the worst training collar I have ever used My poor dog was terrified and would not stop barking and crying. I returned the collar for my money back.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - No More Barking, YAY!
I have a 2 year old Black Lab Collie Mix and overall he is a great dog. His one flaw is he would bark at everything. Anyone walking down the sidewalk, anyone pulling up in the driveway, the kids in the neighboring back yards. If there was someone outside that he could see or hear, he would bark. I tried training him not to do this with treats, and praise and even classes. He would get better for a little while, but then go right back to barking. I didn't know what to do with him.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - No good for double-coated breeds -- eg, Keeshond or Samoyed
I had high hopes for this, as my keeshond is extremely vocal, but was simply unable to get it to deliver any kind of shock at all through his hair. He does have a particularly thick coat, but I tried parting it under the unit, and pulling the collar very very tight, but still nothing. Just in case it was the dog and not the hair, I tried it on a Samoyed, with much less of a ruff, but it didn't work on her either. I called the company, and they suggested shaving his neck, but I don't think they appreciated ... Read More
