Read More Rating: - Dashboard mount - a pleasant surpriseThe windshield mount wasn't good for me. Then I would place the Garmin GPS on the console near the gear shift. T hat was a disaster. If there was someone in the passenger seat they would hold it. The portable friction dashboard mount is great. It holds fine and in the right position. It does not shift. Better than that, it leaves no tell tale rings on the windshield glass to alert would be burglars. It stows quickly in the well between seats.
