They were an excellent all purpose shoe that worked well for nearly all activities......climbing Diamond Head, sightseeing, hiking in a muddy rainforest, kayaking and even horseback riding. They weren't quite as good for the beach as tended to collect sand in the toe area. They are very adjustable so comfortable first time out.
