You can't find an ice bandage like this at you local drug store - I know, I tried. This gets so cold that you can't put it directly against your skin. But that's ok, because they recommend using a thin towel, which works great (i use a thin dish towel). It really cools down the whole joint. I sometimes just wrap it around my pants, and it is still colder that those junky gel packs. It stays cold for hours - not minutes.
