![]() Rating: - Not a bad instrument: previous reviews...what?Let's get this out of the way: this clarinet isn't anywhere near professional quality. That's a given. You can't expect to pay under a Benjamin and get a super-high-quality instrument. You can, however, get an instrument that is smack-dab in the middle of the student quality road. The "German Silver" coated keys don't tarnish, the plastic has a nice matte, grendalla-esque finish, and the instrument comes tuned within +/- 20hz to each note, according to my fancy-dancy computer tuner/condenser ... Lo and behold, this clarinet is pretty cheap (don't let the original price fool you). Some of the metal was bent on arrival and some of the keys don't pop back up when you release them, which I had to fix with a screwdriver and some super-glue. My friend who's been playing clarinet for awhile says that some notes have almost no resistance that should, and vice-versa. Also, like any woodwind ...
