Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Coach Clay Driscoll is a small town basketball coach who seems to have everything going against him. A team he doesn t want. A town that doesn t support girl s sports and small town politics that threaten to undermine any chance he has of winning. But his pride and his girls, the Lady Cyclones, refuse to let him quit.
This inspiring tale of perseverance, character and redemption pits Coach Driscoll (JEFFREY DONOVAN, Hitch) against the school board President Ellis Brawley (OscarĀ® nominee BRUCE DERN, Coming Home) who has the school board and the town in his pocket. You ll cheer these strong-willed young women and their hard-headed coach as they fight for equality and a share of the dream, taking on the town prejudice and their own self-doubt in this heart-warming true story of a team, a town and a man who wouldn t give up.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wonderful, wonderful
This movie should have gotten a ton of public air play, but it obviously didn't. Too bad; it's a tremendous movie. The acting is superb, the story is one that needs to be told, and our world needs to have some "feel good" movies around. Being a huge Jeffrey Donovan fan (due to "Burn Notice"), he was absolutely fabulous in this movie. Be sure to watch the extras on the DVD to get the feel for the story line and the actors's reactions. It is a movie for the whole family; enjoy it with popcorn, ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Same Old Story, But Still Delightful and Inspiring
You could summarize this as a typical sports coach inspiration plot: Coach is lost and ends up with the opposite of what he wants. Coach tries to get what he wants, fails, and accepts his place. Coach bonds with team, and eventually he no longer feels lost.

That said, this is a deeply touching film. Become one with the main character as he is transformed through a series of life-altering experiences after moving to a new town as the new head basketball coach.

The catch? ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Something for everyone in the family-male/female, parents/kids, sports fans/romantics
Coach Driscoll (Jeffrey Donovan) finds his chance to head-coach boy's basketball is shifted to a girl's HS team. Nightmare #2 is that it is a consistently loosing girl's team. Girl's basketball isn't taken seriously till Driscoll decides to give it a try. You know he'll make a difference.

You will fall into being a fan of the small Oklahoma town team. You will cheer the team and boo the villain heading the school board. It is a story well written and acted, so well, in fact, that it ... Read More
