Editorial Review: Product Description: Dream Theater's Chaos In Motion World Tour kicked off June 3rd, 2007 in Milan Italy and ended on June 4th 2008 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Chaos In Motion 2007-2008 captures it all. Legendary drummer Mike Portnoy has assembled over 3 hours of live performances spanning the globe. Complete with a behind the scenes documentary, live screen projection films, music videos and a never before seen photo gallery, Dream Theater bring their fans the ultimate tour souvenir. ![]() Rating: - Real deal!!Stop bitching & mourning about the production of this dvd, people, and fans.(!!) Portnoy has warned us about the production beforehand. "...not as good as Budokan or Score, it'll be like 5 years in a livetime". That says it all. Who cares how they look on screen? This band is about music, not about how pretty they are. Well, not for me at least. The sound is great, particularly in 5.1ch. The song line-up is great, but this depends on your taste. All the behind DT concert thing is ... Read More Rating: - Great raw DVDI've been waiting for so long for Dream Theater to release another raw "day in the life" DVD like 5 Years In A Lifetime. I love the feel of the whole DVD, with songs varying from city to city, and the filming/sound really makes you feel like your part of the show. The footage in between songs (and hidden in menus) is halarious. The documentary on the second disc is very entertaining and shows how nice the guys are. I'm very happy they included both the music videos, and in-studio footage. ... Some people think i am nuts, but that DVD/CD is great. Chaos In Motion - Well They obviously couldn't record wih HD Camers , because of the expense and as far as the songs & performances - I think they are average at best Except Surrounded which i think is outstanding work especially Petrucci, and i think he shines on this DVD/CD..........But like i said it is average at ... Read More Rating: - They've done betterI've been a diehard fan since 1992. Score was of a lot higher quality than this DVD. James LeBrie's voice did not sound as well as it has in the past. It sounded terrible on Surrounded. Maybe they should just stick to making music, and not DVD's. Rating: - What happened to LaBrie's Voice?I have been listening to and tracking the development of the band since When Dream and Day Unite. Although this DVD/CD collection is good, it does not encompass the best performances by the band. Although the melody players--Rudess and Petrucci--hit all of the notes, I'm not sure they still listen to each other anymore. On most of the songs, the band does not sound as tight as they did in past tours. No comments are necessary for Portnoy, who has the biggest ego of any drummer I've seen, or Myung, ...
