Rating:  - Beware of spoilers in the reviews!I enjoyed this book as a light read, but I caution those who are reading reviews to watch for spoilers in the reviews! I read some of the different reviews to see why opinion was so divided, and many of the reviewers give away key parts of the novel. I was extremely disappointed that so many of them ruined the key plot turns for me and really degraded the enjoyment of watching the story unfold. The book was a nice read with a story that kept me going. If you want to read it, don't read too many reviews... be your own judge. Rating:  - an interesting storyI did like the story, the family is very likeable except for of course the uncle. I really am not sure though if I like the end. Rating: - Hamlet Meets Call of the Wild.If you want Hamlet, read Shakespeare. If you want Buck, read Jack London. If you want a great story for a LONG, cold weekend by the fire, read David Wroblewski. Is Edgar Sawtelle meaningful literature? I don't think so, it won't withstand the test of time.
