I am an electric engineer specializing in digital communications and I can tell you there is absolutely no reason for anybody to buy an HDMI cable for 100 bucks because there is absolutely nothing that you will gain with that. In digital electronics, signals are not weak or strong, they are just there or completely absent! And the supporting circuits are well equipped to "correct" any irregularities. Rating: - Rest assured, it works with 1080pI bought this cable about the same time i got my Dell s2409w 1080p HD monitor, and the cable didn't arrive until later, so i bought a few other HDMI cables mainly for testing. i read on the reviews that this doesn't work with 1080p HD, (probably written by monster cable fanboys). I would just like to say that this cable, works with full 1080p. i hooked up my PS3, i played bluray movies, play PS3 games, and they all work just as well as the other, much much much more expensive "branded" hdmi cables. I will agree that if you have 100ft of cheap cable, it might not perform as well as monster cables, but at 6ft, you will get 100% of the performance of monster cable for 2% of the price. the only thing you won't get is the sleek and sexy look of the cable itself, but considering you can buy 50 of these cables for the price of 1 monster cable... i think it's a fair trade-off. Rating:  - All HDMI cables are not equalThis only worked intermittently between my DVDr & TV. It would work for about 10 minutes then the screen would go black (most times not working at all or having a 30 sec. delay before the signal starts). I've been using it on my 1080p Vizio 42" display since the middle of October and haven't had any issues with it at all. I forgot whether I'm using the cable to connect my playstation or my digital cable box to my T.V., but both have been working great regardless. I still have not understood why there's a premium price for these cables at stores. Rating: - flakyCable was unreliable. Often the video/audio would flicker, especially after my LCD TV warmed up. I suspected that the connector loosened as the unit expanded. I was able to prop the cable up to make the signal more stable, but in the end decided to bite the bullet on Christmas Eve and go to Radio Shack for a $30 cable. |
