You have to be cautious when purchasing jewelry on line. The Amethyst does seem a bit pink more than purple, which I kind of liked better. The Garnet does appear to be more orange than a dark red. The other stones are true to color. I have thick lobes and I do think the posts are very thin and very long. I usually don't have the problem of getting poked by earrings when lying down or talking on the phone but that is common with these. I am giving 4 stars for the color that is off and for the extra long/thin posts. I suppose if you have really fat lobes the length would be great. I do recommend these as they make great gifts. They come in individual little black jewelry boxes. Rating: - Loveed these earringsI ordered these when they were offered for $35 in lightening deals. Worth the money I paid. The earrings look beautiful. Even My husband liked them and complimented me when I was wearing one of those. Rating: - Five separate gifts in one affordable packageI was really pleased with these earring when they arrived. I needed some lovely, but not expensive gifts, for several friends this Christmas and these earrings really filled the bill. The only thing that was disappointing is that there is no sticker or small card in the boxes that explains that the stones are genuine and mounted in sterling silver. So I had to print out my own information and include it with the gift. But a terrific value and a lovely gift without breaking the bank. Rating:  - beautifulLoved these earrings.
