Rating: - Itouchless trash canWhat can I say, as usual the item came fast. It works as advertized. I am pleased with it. It is funny because when you walk near it, it opens. At first it gave me a start. Now, I have put it out of the path where people walk. Like it said, I love it. Rating: - Can Live Without It, But Wouldn't Want To!!!Goodness! This is one of those things that you don't know you really need until after you use it the first time. We had the old white plastic trash can in our kitchen, complete with the little white lid that you had to lift up each time you needed to throw something away. I love to cook, and I was getting so tired of having to touch the trash can and re-wash my hands each time I had to throw something away. I'm all about technology but was still a bit skeptical before making this purchase. Quite literally, it sounded too good to be true! I read all of the reviews on Amazon and decided I was ready to take the leap. This new trash can was my Christmas present to myself! Seriously!! I anxiously awaited it's scheduled arrival at my home. I busted this baby out of the packaging, barely glanced at the instructions, and had it "up and running" in minutes. Let me tell you--It. Is. A-Mazing. The size is perfect. The finish is perfect (even though we don't have any stainless appliances--it still matches our neutral white kitchen just fine). The operation is FLAWLESS. It sits in a high-traffic entrance area in our kitchen and does NOT automatically open erroneously. I'd have to say the ONLY negative about this trash can--and it's a TINY thing--is that there is a VERY short delay once you put your hand up to the lid before the lid opens. It's totally not a big deal--MUCH better than touching a germ-y trash can lid, anyway! The opening is plenty big enough, and my husband and I were surprised at how much it holds! All in all, I would say this is the PERFECT trash can for just about anybody. If you love techie gadgets, this is it! If you're a germaphobe, this is it! Even if you're wanting the perfect gift for your 80-year-old Grandma, this is it! You won't be disappointed! Disclaimer: I've owned this trash can for 9 days. I guess it's quite possible it will self-destruct in a month or so, or I'll have to call for a replacement part and get the run-around from customer service (that's the trend these days, anyway), or who knows what else. But the past 9 days have been sheer bliss in our household!!! Rating: - What does it want???I Love this Trash Can! Ive gotten so used to it..I actualy walk up to NON automatic trashcans At others Peoples House and stand there and wait for it to open! LOL. You do need to keep it out f High traffic areas though.. It will Open constantly. Sometimes I walk By it, and it opens.. and I say... WHAT DO YOU WANT??? ROFL! It does work. And batterry life is really Good. Just to tell You how sensative this thing is.. I was Upstairs in Bed. And it is Down in My Kitchen. I was Only One Home at time, and I heard it open! ( yes it is kinda loud, But you get used to it) SCARED the bejesus out of me, I thought someone was In My House and walked past it.. I came downstairs ready to Shoot someone.. turns out it was a MOTH , that had gotten into house and I Landed on the sensor. !!!! Come to think of this, it would make a Great Door gaurd. If burglar comes in that Thing Opens, would scare Pants off him i bet! What is really good about this is you can compact the trash down and that ring gaurd keeps bag from falling down in trashcan, and you not knowing it, and then you have a Big ole mess. It never happens with this ring guard! You get every inch filled of the trash can Liner. I just Use regular tall kitchen bags in it. I Never thought Id ever say I Love a Trashcan.. But I DO! |
