I am using all 5 device ports and they all make solid connections to a 75foot HDMI cable run to my video projector. I found that I needed a better quality cable for my Blu-ray player but all the other devices work without issues. One nice feature is that it seems to automatically select which ever input is active. Very handy if only one device is powered on. I expected to have to pay twice what this unit costs so this is truly a great value. I agree other reviewers that the LED indicators are too bright when displaying red, but that can be resolved by angling the box away from the viewer. Rating:  - Unreliable, Lots of HDCP IssuesI had to return this twice due to HDCP compatibility issues. Maybe it was just a bad batch, but it was an absolute nightmare getting this to work with my setup. It'll be fine for DVD players, Tivos, etc., but if you have HDCP hardware like a PS3, you may run into problems like I did. Rating: - Perfect and inexpensiveThis is the perfect solution to hooking up multiple things to an HDTV. I have the PS3 and a cable box hooked up to a wall-mounted television. The switcher is small enough to be hidden and the wires are still all hidden behind the wall. The HD picture doesn't lose a thing either and everything works well. The package even includes a small HDMI cable to get you started. Highly recommended Rating: - PerfectGrant, I haven't had it long, but wow. It's perfect. Functions just as you'd expect, and my Harmony remote controls it without problem. If I want to use the PS3, I hit the coresponding button on my harmony, and it switches everything appropriately. Cable, Xbox360, same deal. No extra remotes necessary for this item. More than pleased. And the price is amazing! Add to that Abacus24-7 (the seller) is GREAT. Rating: - Great for the price, but it gets a little warm!!I give it 5 stars becasue it works great, especially for the price. Also a PS3 does not have to use port 5 to work correctly. |
