Rating:  - Amazon Kindle my Hero!I have had my kindle for about a year now and I love it for all the right reasons. I am a fan of green and new technology. I have not been reading as much as I hoped, eye problems, alas! Besides what I read on my computer, almost all I read is on my kindle. I was disappointed that my kindle book cover would not fold back and today I was looking for a new cover. I closed the computer and said to myself, Humm, if I am willing to buy a new cover, I will just be trashing this one so I got up my courage to remove it from my kindle and force the spine to bend backwards. Eureka! It now behaves just as I wanted and it does not seem to be damaged at all. I just forced the two folds to go the other way. Now I am happy with it all! Rating: - OOPS, what page was I on?1.I love this great Christmas present!!! I was off for two weeks at Christmas and used it all the time. It is easy to read and I bought a book light to read it in the car at night while my husband drives. 2. The port should be on the top of the book. It pokes me in the stomach when I am recharging and reading. 3. Sometimes I hold the Kindle with my right hand and sometimes with my left. There should be a thumb button located in the same place on each side to turn to the next page. The Previous Page gets pushed by mistake when I'm paging with my left hand. Please fix this. 4. Occasionally, I lose the page I'm on. It is very, very difficult and time consuming to find it again. If the chapter # was displayed on each page, I probably could find my place more quickly. I have no idea what the numbers on the bottom of the pages mean. Are they word counts? 5. Since my Kindle has fallen to the floor when other people were admiring it, I have looped a large pink rubber band around it from top to bottom on the right side. It has not fallen out of the holder again, but looks "jury rigged." Once again, in spite of these niggling little problems, I LOVE my Kindle. I ordered two batteries on that date and there is still no shipment projection on the product. Why do I want a Kindle if it is going to sit idle for months? I loved reading on it; my husband, who is visually impaired, could read on it; and I could order any book and receive it instantly. I am terribly disappointed and wish I had my money back. It's a fabulous idea, but Amazon's provider of the product and battery packs to keep it working are less than adequate. Rating:  - LOVE MY KINDLE!KINDLE has got to be the best invention - ever! I am visually impaired - and I LOVE to read - that is a terrible combination. My Kindle makes it possible to read as much as I want, for as long as I want, reading almost anything I want! It is so convenient and portable - I LOVE IT. I thought I would miss holding a book and turning the pages, but that hasn't happened. In fact, I already have nerve damage in my hands for that exact reason. I highly recommend the Kindle. Rating: - love itI thought long and hard before making this purchase but I am so glad I did. It is wonderful I just wish all the books I wanted would become available. There is still a good selection and I love the option of sampling a book before buying. Thanks Amazon.
