When I first started using it, I had to use a lower pressure setting. Now that my gums are a bit tougher, I use it at the 60-70% setting and it really does the trick. You can feel the stream of water hitting your tongue after it goes through your teeth. It's quieter, the controls are more convenient, the wand head swivels better, and it even looks nicer sitting next to the sink.
