Rating:  - A good coffee makerThe Krups KM7000 Grind-and-Brew coffee maker is easy to use and reliably brews good coffee. The only down side may be the amount of coffee beans used to brew the coffee. It used nearly twice the number of beans in comparison to our previous grind and brew. Rating:  - A bit akward....Had 2 Cuisinart grind and brew before I tried the Krups. I almost wish I had stayed with Cuisinart. The Krups is a bit akward to operate, but with some time I'm sure I'll get used to it. Quality of the coffee is very good, but you have to play with the "grind" and "strength" options to try and get things right. I have had no problems whatsoever with spraying grounds all over the counter as others have reported. Read the directions and you will have no problems. I didn't catch on to the fact that when the machine is set to "auto-on", the program has it's own settings for "strength" and "# of cups". Both of these settings were factory-set at the strongest strength and 10 cups. My manual settings are for 6 cups and the minimum strenth. The result was an undrinkable black syrup that really p###ed me off until I was able to figure out what was going on. I also couldn't find this fact in the owners manual so be careful. Rating:  - If I could give it a zero star I would...This product is so horrible.. I gave it to my mom as a gift. She has had so many problems with it. The parts do not fit together well. It malfunctions all the time. The black plastic is falling off in chunks. I am surprised at this because I have always heard good things about Krups. The features seem to be amazing, but too good to true fits this product to the tee. I would not recommend this or any other Krups product to anyone. Rating:  - Coffee MakerWe have been thrilled with this coffee grinder and maker. It exceeded our expectations and is by far the best coffee system we have had over 45 years of marriage. Rating: - Appalling Quality ControlAfter a grand total of 72 days, the KM7000 I purchased stopped heating water and passing it through the ground coffee. Having to pay the postage to have such a poorly made appliance repaired is more than galling; it's infuriating. Buyers beware, you soon could standing in line at the post office to return your supposedly superior Krups KM7000 to a repair facility. Hopefully, yours will last at least 73 days.
