This workout is only 20 minutes which I thought was crazy, and I thought I needed to work out "longer" to really have anything happen. But she packs a really hard fullbody workout in 20 minutes, its short and straight to the point. you dont have to worry about getting bored and drifting off and next thing you know your checking your e-mail. I think I'm in pretty good shape and the beginner workout was really hard for me!! I bought this to shake up my exercise routine, and to get in more strength training during my week. Jillian has three different leveled workouts on one DVD, which I find great--I alternate my regular cardio workouts with Jillian's workouts every other day, doing different levels of her workout on those alternate days. She also does three minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, and 1 minute of abs in each circuit, with 3 circuits total in each workout. I have seen improved results in my strength levels, and am getting a little ripped to boot! I have tried a LOT of other systems that combine cardio and strength (such as P90X), but this one gets the same work done in a MUCH shorter amount of time (each video is about 27 minutes long, compared to the hour and fifteen minutes P90X workouts usually lasted). Since I get up early and work out before I go to work, these workouts let me sleep in a little more and get the same results. The moves are easy to follow, and there are no complicated moves to learn. You just need a set of dumbbells and a mat. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who wants a great strength training workout in a short period of time. You'll get results! Rating: - Great workout, but not sure if 20 minutes = 20 pound lossThis is a great intense workout. I own many many workout dvds, and this is one of the hardest. It requires very little space, which is a huge plus. The first day I got it, I did level 1 and level 2, needed to rest for a few hours, and then did level 3. While this is a great, tiring workout, I don't know if just one segment daily would be enough to produce change in people who works out avidly. I do this to supplement my daily workouts. I do level 3 in combo with 40 minutes of running or level 2 after a lotte berk type workout. It is great, Jillian is totally motivating and not annoying-thank goodness, that isn't the case with other videos of hers I own. I hope there are more great GM videos to come, maybe even one that has longer segments. Rating: - I am so happy with this productThis product is amazing! I was originally going to get the Tracy Anderson dvds but I couldn't really afford the high price. After reading some reviews I decided to get Jillian's dvd. I am so glad that I did! This is worth the $10 and then some! She breaks down the moves and tells you how to breath and how to keep your posture. I have only been able to complete the level 1 workout. Its tuff! I like that you can do the workout in 20 minutes. I get the baby down for a nap and then I can do my workout AND get a shower before he wakes up! Rating: - Tough but it works if you stick with itI ordered this dvd and now see that it is on sale. It is worth the $8 I paid for it. There are 3 levels and modified versions of some of the exercises. It's 3 cycles of: 3 minutes of weights, 2 minutes of cardio and then 1 min abs. Run time is about 30 minutes if you include stretch and warm-up. I tried my Power 90 dvd a few days later and I was so much stronger. If you want an even more challenging workout try the workouts from her book 'Making the cut' which also includes a meal plan. |
