DVD : Bones - Season 3Browse or Search and Buy Online our Best Sellers Shopping Sales of DVD and Bones - Season 3. Rating:  - Series still wonderful, DVD package disappointingI don't get Fox (live in the country with an antenna that gets one station), don't have cable or satellite, so therefore look forward to the delayed gratification of seasons of my favorite shows on DVD. I also look forward to DVD extras like commentaries, which have been sorely lacking on previous seasons of Bones. There are absolutely NONE this time around. The five little directors vinettes are all of two minutes long at the most. The extended versions and extra scenes are ok, but since I didn't see the original episodes, don't know what I missed. I suppose a preview of next season's episodes is nice, but I'll see those on next year's DVDs. Compared to the gratifying plethora of extras I get with the Dr. Who and Torchwood seasons, this is utterly disappointing. I'm wondering if Fox is waiting until the show's end to release a boxed set at some ridiculous price, THEN with all the goodies that those of us who have faithfully bought each season will buy because finally what we really wanted is finally there. As for the shows, still wonderful, no matter what others say, love David, love the chemistry, wonderful ensemble acting, over-the-top gore, and appreciate the fact that there is a show that knows the difference between the jugular and carotid. Rating:  - bones season 3gave to my 14 yo daughter- she states it is terrific though my wife has noticed more sexual content than she would have guessed- my daughter rates it 5 stars nonetheless. Rating: - Bones Season 3Loved it!!!! I bought this as a christmas gift for my sister. She was thrilled to recieve it and I was thrilled that it got here so quickly. You can't beat the price!!! In the store it was over $40 dollars and I got it for a great deal. I am thrilled with the purchase and will purchase from Amazon again. Rating: - bones yes!!!very good season perhaps the best bonus for the fourth season is great really the best TV show Rating: - Gets better and betterAlthough this is a shortened season, the DVD does contain four episodes from season 4 which is a great bonus. This season the characters really seem to mesh and have all hit their mark in the show. It has also become a bit lighter although the gruesome remains they have to deal with are still there to keep everyone on their toes. The Booth/Bones relationship is at a good point with plenty of innuendoes and light banter between the two. The rest of the squints are also in great form, Angela, Cam, Hodgins and the addition of Dr. Sweet has added another interesting character to the mix. I think the best thing that has happened to the show is the addition of the Dr. Camille Saroyan, delightfully played by Tamara Taylor in Season 2. She is a master of expressions and dry wit. I hated to see the Zack character leave but he has been back in S4 in guest spots. The search for his replacement had some of the funniest moments in the show. My only complaint is that the DVD sets seem a little overpriced. Of course I pay the price for a great show like this but it seems more would be sold if the price could be a bit lower. Just a thought. I hope to see many more seasons of these great characters. |
